Our food, air and water are all increasingly polluted with endocrine and hormone-disrupting industrial chemicals. Of particular concern are the xenoestrogens – unnatural forms of synthetic estrogen which pose numerous health risks, including: obesity (through metabolic and/or hormone dysregulation and increasing the size and volume of fat cells), diabetes, infertility, and cancers of the prostate, breast and ovaries. In women, exposure to these chemicals can cause insomnia, mood swings, fatigue, bloating, brain fog, anxiety, headaches, depression, low libido, acne, breast tenderness and lumps, fibroids, uterine polyps, painful periods, and miscarriages. In men, exposure can cause prostate enlargement or cancer, low testosterone levels and diminished sperm viability, hair loss, feminine fat deposits around the breasts, acne, low libido, lack of drive and vitality, sexual deviation, and atrophy of the testicles.
Our Chemical Detox Tea contains herbs with specific actions to improve the Phase 1 and Phase 2 liver detoxification pathways (which are critical in the breakdown and excretion of xenoestrogens), improving the natural capacity for estrogen metabolism and assisting to rebalance conditions of unhealthy estrogen dominance.
Dietary and supplement protocols to further reduce the negative effects of xenoestrogen exposure would include: organic cruciferous vegetables and citrus fruits, B-vitamins, N-acetyl cysteine, and kombucha. Avoid as much as possible chemical additives and scents in household products, plastics in contact with food and water (ideally, water should be filtered to remove such contaminants), processed, canned and GMO foods etc. To greatly expedite any detoxification programme, we recommend the Metaphysical Master Cleanse.
Whilst this tea can be used in alternation with our Blood Cleansing and Detoxification Tea for a broader systemic cleansing effect, it is to be distinguished by its particular targeting of estrogen dominance and toxicity.
